Early on June 13th,
2007, BMVFD was dispatched to assist Lacey's Spring VFD for a
house fire on Hough Road. BMVFD Engine 1 responded with 4
volunteers under the direction of Chief Whisenant. BMVFD
assisted by manning a 1 1/2 line and also laying 1000' of 5"
supply line from the nearest hydrant to secure water to the
Lacey's Engines that were already operating on the scene. Engine
1 returned to service around 8:30 AM. Unfortunately the house
was a total loss.
