- Car vs. House
At 12:42PM
volunteers were alerted to a house on Rescue Road for a truck
that had run over a female and then struck a house. Rescue 4,
Rescue 1, and Engine 4 responded with 8 volunteers. Arab
Ambulance and Samaritan EMS responded as well. Volunteers from
Rescue 4 and Rescue 1 provided medical care to the injured
female as well as making sure that the house and vehicle were
stable. The crew from Engine 4 established a landing zone on
Lynn's Dam Road where Huntsville Medflight was able to assume
patient care and transport to the trauma center at Huntsville
Hospital. Volunteers operated on the scene for just over an
hour. Chief Whisenant had the Rescue Road command.
