10/02/07 - MVA

At 12:20 PM Rescue 4 (FF/EMT Wessel) was headed south on highway 231 near Allens Crossroads when a pickup truck lost control and crashed into the median, coming to rest in the northbound lanes. Fortunately no vehicles traveling north were hit by the vehicle when it crossed into oncoming traffic. FF/EMT Wessel advised communications of the accident who dispatched Chief Whisenant, EMS Supervisor Captain Miller, and Engine 4. Samaritan EMS was dispatched as the ambulance on the call. BMVFD provided patient care until Samaritan arrived and transported the patient with non life threatening injuries. Chief Whisenant had the Highway 231 command.
