10/15/07 - Fire Prevention Week

10AM - Brindlee Mountain Engine 1, Engine 2, Engine 3, Rescue 4, Chief 1, and Samaritan EMS presented this year's fire prevention program to over 300 students at Union Hill Elementary School. The kids were great fun as always and we are thankful to serve such an outstanding community. The program included giving away smoke detectors as prizes for the coloring contest, an opportunity for the students to get close to firefighters wearing all of the gear including air tanks and masks (which can look a little scary to a child who has not seen one before), and a chance to come outside and play on the trucks! Our thanks to Union Hill School for partnering with us to make the community safer!
