- Structure Fire
A few minutes after
midnight volunteers were requested to respond to Highway 231 in
the City of Arab for a working commercial fire. Engine 3, Rescue
4, and Chief 1 responded with 6 volunteers. Volunteers arrived
to find a mid size shopping center with fire in the end cap
building and smoke extension into several stores. Arab
Firefighters did a fantastic job making quick work of the fire
and preventing what could have been a far more serious incident.
Brindlee Mountain volunteers assisted with ventilating several
of the adjacent storefronts. In addition to Arab and Brindlee
Mountain, the City of Guntersville also responded. We applaud
the good work of the Arab Fire Department and are thankful to
have them as friends and neighbors. Chief Phillips (Arab Fire)
had the incident command.
